Cookie Policy

Last updated October 7, 2026

What is a cookie?

A small text file that a website stores on your device. It lets the site recognise your device later, remember a choice, or measure how it is used. Similar technologies such as pixels and local storage do the same job, and when we say cookies we mean them too.

Does LinkPath HQ use cookies?

Yes. Some are set by us (first-party). Others are set by services that appear on our pages, such as analytics and advertising providers (third-party).

Which kinds?

  • Necessary for security, load balancing and remembering your consent choice.
  • Preference for small conveniences, like remembering that you closed a notice.
  • Analytics so we can count visits and learn which articles help.
  • Advertising to show and measure ads.

Why are there advertising cookies?

Ads keep the site free. The networks we use, including Google, set cookies so that ads can be based on your earlier visits to this website or others. Google’s advertising cookies, including DoubleClick DART, allow it and its partners to do this across the internet. Personalised ads can be switched off at Google Ads Settings; many other vendors can be opted out at aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative.

How long do they last?

Session cookies vanish when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period, for the ones we use usually between thirty days and two years, or until you delete them.

How do I stop them?

Use the consent controls on the site where they are shown, or block and delete cookies in your browser. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all keep this under Privacy or Security in their settings. You can also use a private window. Some features of this and other sites may stop working if you block everything.

Do you honour Do Not Track?

No, because browsers and the industry have never agreed what it should mean. The opt-outs listed above do work.

Who do I ask if I am unsure?

Use the contact form. This policy is read together with our Privacy Policy.
